Greystones Sailing Club is always delighted to welcome new members.
Membership is open to all. The club does not discriminate on race, creed, colour, national origin, disability, marital status or sexual preference. Junior membership is available for children and young adults up to the age of 18. Full membership is available to those over 18.
We now have over 350 members (toddlers to 70+), the majority of whom are active sailors. There is a strong junior membership, as is evident from the number of junior dinghies in the pen (Picos, Lasers, Fevas).
The Club is run by an Executive Committee with enormous input and goodwill from members at all levels, whether to help clean up the pen at the end of the season, safety duty, bar duty, fund-raising, disco bouncer etc. The Club has no permanent employees and is run on a break-even basis. GSC has hosted many local, regional and national events over the years.
Greystones Sailing Club consider the safety and welfare of the child to be paramount and has a full Child Protection Policy in place.
Greystones Sailing Club expects high standards of safety from all members who take to the water. The club’s policy on Safety on the Water is available for download.
